Creating Tomorrow – Art, Nature & Innovation in a Sustainable Future

Oceanaia: Bloom of Synthesis aims to simulate believable and at the same time futuristic and sustainable marine ecosystems.

Blending visual art, science, and technology, the game invites players into four unique marine ecosystems, each exploring a different philosophy of life in harmony with nature.

The game is set in the year 7000, on a distant planet, where humans coexist harmoniously with genetically modified species in a utopian world, divided into four distinct ecosystems, with their own philosophies on our relation with nature. It explores themes of sustainability, diversity, and ecological innovation.

By interacting with the ecosystems, players are invited to explore alternatives for a future where we have overcome the modern day climate challenges.

At Oodi’s interactive Kuutio space, the installation functions like a digital aquarium, allowing the public to actively engage with the artwork. The project combines photography, game design, scientific data from the Baltic sea and 3D microscopy photography.

The exhibition has been supported by the City of Oulu

Open during Oodi's opening hours:
Mon–Fri 8 am–9 pm
Sat–Sun 10 am–8 pm

Please, check for summer exeptions.
