Ciao Ciao Festival will be held again on the Citizen Square in front of Oodi on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May. The festival will have program also inside Oodi.

Photographic Exhibition: Echoes of the Sea

Echoes of the Sea is a photographic exhibition that captures the timeless connection between humans and the ocean. Each image tells a story of tranquillity, adventure, and reflection through serene landscapes, intimate moments, and dynamic silhouettes. 

11:00-12:00 Movie “Il Decameron” (1971). Kino Regina, Oodi's 1st floor.

An imaginative and provocative film adaptation of Boccaccio's classic work, part of Pasolini's ‘Trilogia della vita’ series.

The film is in Italian with Finnish and Swedish subtitles. Running time 111 minutes.

13:00-13:45 Documentary “Approdi”. Maijansali, Oodi's 1st floor.

Nicolò Carnimeon and Lorenzo Scaraggi documentary tells the story of the Adriatic coast, from Monopoli to Brindisi. The screening is in Italian and texts are in English. 

14:00-15:00 Conference on the Italian Language. Maijansali, Oodi's 1st floor.

Quando le donne diventano Cape explores the feminine inflection of professional titles in Italian, with a particular focus on the word capa. Speaker: Irene Lami, doctoral student in Italian linguistics at Lund University. Conference organized in collaboration with Suomen Italian Kielen Opettajat ry.

15:00 Reading in Italian to children. Oodi's 3rd floor, children's area.
