Afternoon in the Science Basement

The Science Basement would like to invite you to listen and interact during an Afternoon in the Science Basement. The last speaker of the monthly fall series, Päivi Nummi, a PhD student from the University of Helsinki, will present their work, ‘Cancer and mobile DNA’ . 

When: 11th of December, 2024 at 17:30-19:00 Helsinki time (EEST)

Where: Helsinki Central Library Oodi, 3rd floor Saarikoski (Töölönlahdenkatu 4, Helsinki)

Description: The DNA in our cells contains instructions to build us. What happens when parts of it start moving on their own? Join us to learn about mobile DNA and its connection to cancer.
