SAMPO 2023 Festival – Sixth Sense

Welcome to the theatre with all your senses!

The Sixth Sense demo performances were born in a masterclass workshop organized during the SAMPO 2023 Festival, led by the Ukrainian theater professional Kateryna Lukianenko. In the workshop, the limits of theatre and the possibilities of making inclusive performances that can be understood by both sighted and blind viewers, adults and children have been explored together. Viewers are asked to use all five senses – 5D theater, as the Ukrainian children called it – to find the "sixth sense" that can make people equal viewers regardless of their disabilities.

Taste, smell, touch, hearing and visual senses are equally present: "Sixth Sense" is a presentation of senses and sensations.
