Artists Leena Pukki and Karoliina Paappa talk about their interactive piece In Someone Else’s Skin. Deep Sounding – What Is It Like to Swim Among a Pod of Dolphins? (2021). Deep Sounding is an immersive art animation that makes dolphins’ sense of echolocation palpable to human viewers. The animation is shown on two walls of the Kuutio space in Oodi. It is accompanied by an echolocation soundscape that can be felt physically in the body. Interviewer Annika Dahlsten.

Every Thursday throughout October, the Ääreen – Documentary in Animation project will host events that give the floor to animation artists themselves. In discussions and interviews held in Central Library Oodi, they will talk about the background of their work and open up the world of animated documentaries to the audience. The discussions and talks can be attended both on-site and remotely.
