Would you like to organize an event open to everyone at Oodi? The aim of the open events is to create a culture of reading for people of all ages and to defend democracy, freedom of speech and a sustainable society.
Oodi welcomes small and large event organizers, private citizens and associations alike. We offer accessible venues for a wide range of events equipped with various technologies. Organizing an event that can be interpreted as a public event at Oodi always requires a permit for the use of the facilities granted by Oodi.
The application period is open from the 1st of October to the 30th of November. During that time applications can be sent for events to be held in 2027.
The theme for 2027 is “A Human Trace.” The relationship between humans and machines has become one of the most urgent topics in society. Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly intertwined with both everyday routines and global conflicts. Does only death differentiate us from machines? Is being human characterized by creativity, destruction or both? The time has come to share a conversation about what it means to be human. What kind of trace do you want to leave?
- events are primarily held in on weekday nights and weekends
- events cannot have a registration or admission fee
- we do not pay performance fees
- there is no charge for the use of the event space
